JCM Load ALRS2 handset

A customer focused handset

The evolution of the ALRS2 handset

The majority of employees at JCM Load Monitoring have been in Load Monitoring for many years.  From our founder Jim C Murray who also founded Scotload in 1994, we have all been involved in Load Monitoring for over 30 years each.

Using this experience we have built a load monitoring package that we believe delivers what our customers want and deserve.

The ALRS2 started off with a simple display where you could read the load, it can now display 4 load cells at the same time and calibration can be carried out from the handheld.  All this has been offered at no extra cost to our customers.

Read below for the Evolution of the ALRS2.

Version 1

The ALRS2 Version 1, featured a basic display which showed the actual and peak load. Each handset was paired to an individual load cell.

    Version 2

The ALRS2 Version 2, this version featured an updated screen, improved battery life and the ability to pair any ALRS2 handset to any ALRS2 transmit board.  Allowing customers to order replacement handsets already configured to pair with their load cells without having to send the load cells away.  This reduced downtime and costs for our customers.

Please note that Version 2 is fully supported alongside Version 3 and we will continue to support it for as long as they remain in circulation.

      Version 3

On Version 3.0, an external On/Off switch was added to the handset.  Telemetry units will continually search for a signal from the transmit board, using a small amount of battery power which over time of no use can deplete batteries.  By adding an external On/Off switch this allows the user to save on batteries and cost.

We also added the ability to display up to 4 load cells at any one time while retaining the functionality to still view each load cell indpendantly.

      Version 3.03

Version 3 has brought about the most advanced change that we have introduced up until now.

Calibration from the handheld. This functionality has raised the ALRS2 handset to a truly customer focused handset. No need to send your load cell away to be calibrated, so long as you have a local testing house, we can provide calibration instructions for the ALRS2 V3 to be calibrated. Saving our customers time and money.
